About the Kuntanawa

Haru has gained a reputation as a dynamic and influential young leader within the Brazilian indigenous community. Renowned for his strong presence, compassionate nature, and persuasive abilities, he has rekindled hope among the people residing in the villages near Acre, Brazil. Haru successfully brought together the Twelve Tribes Alliance in Acre with the aim of safeguarding their traditional knowledge and upholding the therapeutic use of plants to address physical, emotional, and spiritual ailments.

From 2010 to 2014, Haru played a pivotal role in organizing meetings for the Pano Corridor Project. This initiative aimed to foster greater understanding by bringing together diverse tribes, nations, and individuals from various parts of the world. Additionally, he serves as president of Ascak Association—an organization dedicated to protecting and advancing collective rights and interests—representing Kuntanawa people.

In his capacity as an Advisor of Health for Indigenous communities in Juruá District from 2015 to 2017, Haru assumed responsibility for familiarizing himself with public health policies formulated by federal government authorities across eight municipalities in Acre—the home of approximately 15 thousand indigenous inhabitants. However, by late 2017 he made a decision to leave governmental work behind and pursue other endeavors aligned with his vision

Haru Kuntanawa

Dr. Hayra Kuntanawa is a highly respected healer and practitioner of various healing arts, including Chinese Medicine. Alongside her husband, she serves as a leader of the Kuntanawa nation. From an early age, Hayra has been immersed in the world of healing and has developed her own unique approach to medicine. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of studying and practicing in different parts of the world such as Europe, North America, South America, Central America, and Asia.

Hayra’s education includes attending prestigious institutions like Oregon College of Oriental Medicine—an esteemed school for Oriental Medicine—as well as the Hypnotherapy Academy of America—a renowned institution known for its excellence in Hypnotherapy training. Additionally, she has studied under notable teachers such as Mikio Sankey—the founder of Esoteric Acupuncture—and Lillian Pearl Bridges—a pioneer in Facial Diagnosis.

With an impressive list of credentials to her name, Hayra holds multiple titles including Co-leader of the Kuntanawa Nation, Doctor specializing in Oriental and Acupuncture Medicine , Esoteric Acupuncture Practitioner , Hypnotherapist , Licensed Massage Therapist , Reiki Master , Holistic Doula , Face Reader Akashic Records Reader Shamanic Soul Retrieval Practitioner musical artist . Her breadth and depth expertise allows her to provide holistic care that encompasses mind-body-spirit connection.
